Mr Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, said on Wednesday, he had submitted the report on the probe of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir Lawal, and the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu

The AGF, who disclosed this according to the Punch, said he submitted the report to President Muhammadu Buhari last Friday, adding that the President would take the final decision on the document.

Recall that the President had, on December 18, 2016, directed the AGF to probe all top government officials accused of corruption.
Garba Shehu, the Senior special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, announced the Presidential directive and said any of the government officials found guilty of the allegations levelled against them would not go unpunished

The AGF, had queried the SGF and the acting chairman of EFCC over corrupt allegations leveled against them by the Senate and the DSS.  They were reported to have long replied their queries.

The President had ordered that the AGF to submit the report on Magu through the Vice-President according some report, he (the Vice-President) is expected to add to the recommendation of the AGF on the EFCC acting chairman.

The AGF, on Wednesday refused to comment on his recommendations and the content of the report, it is a presidential report he insisted, Malami's statement was in response to the reports the he recommended that Magu steps aside while clearing Lawal of the allegations levelled against him
